eagle_flag.jpg1976 was a year of change - both good and bad.  The Steelers beat Dallas in the Superbowl - I lost money on that game.  The Naval Academy accepted its first female class - somewhat appropriate that it happened in 1976, but still way too late.  And Babara Jordan, yes, Barbara Jordan, gave a historic speech when delivering the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention, becoming the first African American to deliver a keynote address for either party.

I've Been Everywhere

everywhere.pngMany of you are familiar with that old Johnny Cash Song, "I've Been Everywhere".  Well for me, it seems that over the past few years I have been living that song.  And man, am I tired!

Taking Back America?

America Belongs to Us AllAmerica has been stolen.  At least that is what many people want us to believe.  So, under the protection of the American Flag and the U.S. Constitution, they scream to whoever will listen that we need to take our country back.  My question is, from who?  No foreign power has invaded our country, no military coup took over our government.  So, again, I ask, take back our country from who?

Could You Please Turn That Down?

Bheazy!It's been going on for a number of years.  In fact, since he was about nine.  He fell in love with rap and hip hop.  Yep, my oldest son.  I did what I could to block it.  I played a lot of old R&B tunes and even let him listen to top 40.  But he stayed true to his music and stuck with the Rap and Hip Hop.  Which wasn't so bad.  At first.
